Enhance energy efficiency and achieve SBEM compliance with Part L2.
New build non-domestic buildings are required to meet the minimum energy efficiency requirements stipulated within Part L of the Building Regulations. SBEM or 'Simplified Building Energy Model' is the Government’s software tool for analysing the energy consumption of non-domestic dwellings, and for more complex buildings DSM or 'Dynamic Simulation Modelling' is utilised.  Â
To demonstrate Part L compliance all new builds require a BRUKL report. The report includes details on the fabric U-values, HVAC services, solar gains, carbon compliance and primary energy consumption. Â
Upon completion of new build non-domestic units, EPCs or 'Energy Performance Certificates' are required to allow the sale or let of the building. Commercial EPCs show a rating from band A to G, with A+ being the most energy efficient.  Â
We provide improved occupant comfort and wellbeing by optimising energy efficiency, temperature regulation, and indoor air quality.
We provide sustainability solutions for your development, ensuring eco-friendly and energy-efficient outcomes at every stage.
Our team excels at project management, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and seamless coordination with all stakeholders.Â
Our staff have decades of combined experience, offering expert guidance and exceptional results for every project.
We consider the energy efficiency of non-domestic buildings to ensure that your building is both compliant and efficient, utilising industry leading DSM software to allow us to undertake in depth modelling of all building types. DSM can be used to feed into assessments of energy use, carbon emissions, overheating risk and a variety of regulatory compliance requirements, including BREEAM credits for example; thermal comfort and daylighting.Â
We offer:
We provide Planning Energy and Sustainability Reports to support planning applications, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency standards and sustainability requirements for new developments.
We conduct Initial SBEM/DSM Part L assessments to assist with planning applications, ensuring compliance with energy performance and building regulations for new developments.
We perform Design Stage SBEM/DSM Part L Assessments to produce BRUKL Reports, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency requirements and building regulations during the design phase of a project.
We carry out As-Built Stage SBEM/DSM Part L assessments to produce BRUKL and EPC reports, verifying compliance with energy performance standards and regulations once the building is completed.
We offer non-domestic consultancy advice to guide businesses and developers on energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
We provide U Value calculations to assess the thermal performance of building elements, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency standards and improving overall insulation.
The Calcot Golf Club project features 70 new build plots and a Sui Generis clubhouse that achieved an Excellent BREEAM rating, with AES Sustainability Consultants innovating material selection and conducting SBEM assessments to optimise energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, ultimately securing planning approval through comprehensive sustainability evaluations.
Crest Nicholson, Bath Western Riverside Bath Western Riverside is a multi-phased development consisting of 813 units.
Blackberry Hill Hospital, Vistry Partnerships Blackberry Hill is a complex mixed-use regeneration project involving new build and refurbishment elements.
