Calculate PSI values to help eliminate risks of cold bridging and boost your SAP calculations.Â
PSI values represent the heat lost at junctions between various plane building elements e.g. walls, roofs and floors. Where higher heat flows occur in these areas these can create localised reductions in internal surface temperatures which can lead to surface condensation and issues with mould growth. Â
Using advanced software our team are capable of modelling both 2D and 3D Psi Values ensuring the majority of junctions can be calculated. Â
We offer PSI Value calculations nationwide, providing expert thermal bridging assessments to improve energy efficiency and compliance across the UK.
Using independently calculated PSI Values within your assessments, in lieu of default values, we can enhance your building’s energy performance and help optimise your build specification. Â
Where necessary our experts will advise on how to better improve thermal performance at junctions and advise as how to reduce risks of encountering issues with mould growth in future. Â
We use market-leading software here at AES capable of modelling both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional PSI values allowing us to calculate a wide variety of different junctions. Our assessors evaluate the heat flow through the junction and determine internal surface temperatures to identify where a potential risk of internal surface condensation or mould growth may occur. Â
Wherever possible our assessors will use their vast experience to review details prior to calculation to help identify any likely issues early and advise on where improvements could be sought prior to calculation. Â
