SAP Calculations

Achieve your project requirements, and enhance energy efficiency, using the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP).

EPC certificates

About

SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculations are essential towards obtaining an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) and to ensure your building complies with Part L of the UK Building Regulations.

The SAP process primarily consists of two stages: Design SAPs, ideally carried out prior to construction to determine a sufficient strategy towards compliance, and As Built SAPs, carried out after construction once necessary checks have been completed to ensure any changes from Design are accounted for before issue of the EPC.

The EPC provides information as to how energy efficient the property is and is a legal requirement when selling, renting out or building a new property. This is a useful document for occupants as it helps predict potential energy costs and advice on where they could look to improve the property’s energy efficiency.
