We’re excited to share some recent updates from the Gedling Green Future Homes Standard (FHS) trial, a collaborative effort between Keepmoat and BCU.
After two years of development and the completion of several plots, Keepmoat showcased the progress made in aligning with the FHS objectives.
A site visit by our Technical & Innovation Director Silvio Junges allowed AES a firsthand look at the challenges encountered and the invaluable lessons learned throughout the process. This transparent sharing of experiences underscores the collective commitment to fostering industry-wide collaboration and knowledge exchange.
At AES, we’ve been actively involved at the SAP site, contributing to vital comparisons for running costs using EPC data. Our efforts have focused on comparing fabric specifications against the Home Energy Model (HEM), revealing promising alignment in most areas. However, it’s notable that the photovoltaic (PV) aspect falls short of the HEM model’s requirements, signalling the need for more significant modelling. The BCU are currently diligently monitoring performance.
As we navigate these challenges, AES remains steadfast in our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and driving positive change within the industry.
